Atelier Brisac was founded by Cécile Brisac in 2019 in London and Paris.
Cécile studied at the Architectural Association in London, graduating in 1995. She worked in several offices in France, the UK and the United States prior to co-founding Brisac Gonzalez in 1999.
She has been the recipient of several awards, such as the NAJA Young Architects’ award in France, the ARHVA Award for Women Architects in France, and the AJ 40 under 40 Award in the UK. She is a regular lecturer and visiting critic at various universities, taught at the Architectural Association where she is an external examiner, and was a member of the Southwark Design Review Panel for 12 years. She is a member of RIBA, the Architecture Club, the Ordre des Architectes and the Royal Academy of Belgium.
“Cécile led this particularly complex project with great tact and tenacity.”
‘It is a clear, coherent architecture. There is a real sense of space, a lot of rigour without falling into severity. It is very urban, very elegant.”
“Cécile is someone with integrity, she is serious and impartial, aware of all topics, very open-minded and attentive.”
“It is very easy to find one’s way around these buildings, largely thanks to the natural light Cécile managed to bring in, which was not at all obvious.”
